Caverion has signed a large project contract with CCH Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG on the delivery of total technical solutions for the renovation of Congress Center Hamburg in Germany. The contract is worth over EUR 43 million, making it one of the largest projects after the establishment of Caverion. Caverion is responsible for the design & engineering and project execution.
Caverion’s total technical solution cover the technical disciplines of heating and sanitation, ventilation and air-conditioning, cooling, electricity and automation solutions and fire extinguishing systems. Top priority in the project is to guarantee good indoor climate in all conditions. In order to achieve this, Caverion will install 10,000 data points to constantly log air conditions and an intelligent air conditioning system adapting to measures. Also the fire safety system takes into account the flexible use of space in the Congress Center.
After renovation and comprehensive modernisation, Congress Center Hamburg will be one of Europe’s largest convention centres with 12,000 m² of exhibition space, 12,000 m² of foyer space and 12,000 seats in up to 50 halls. The Congress Center is scheduled to reopen in 2019.
