The reliability of production and products, along with strict adherence to regulations, are vital issues for an increasing number of companies. This has created a need for contamination control in several industries, such as electronics, life science and healthcare. Caverion offers complete cleanroom solutions as well as qualification and testing for clients requiring a fully controlled process environment.
Caverion will deliver a cleanroom solution for the operating theatres of financial services group OP Pohjola’s private hospital, Omasairaala, to be constructed in the former Tampella linen factory in the centre of Tampere, Finland. Caverion will also modernise all building systems in the property. A total of 15,500 square metres of floor area will be renovated, most of which will be transformed into offices and hospital premises. Omasairaala’s premises will have a floor area of approximately 3,000 square metres. The hospital will be completed in the summer of 2016 and the offices in the autumn.
“The client was looking for a modular solution, and after a visit to our reference site, Huddinge Hospital in Sweden, they became convinced that Caverion is the right partner,” says Thomas Lundin, Head of Caverion Sweden “Building and modernising hospitals is a growth area for modular, flexible solutions, which can be used to influence the life cycle of the entire hospital,” Lundin states.
CleanPlus® fulfils all cleanroom requirements
Caverion’s cleanroom facility delivery is based on its own prefabricated CleanPlus® elements. The elements include, for example, operating theatre walls, sliding doors, ceilings, lighting, air-conditioning terminals, and pass-through chambers for operating theatres.
All CleanPlus® products are developed and constructed for use in advanced environments with strict adherence to regulations and GMP guidelines
(Good Manufacturing Practice), as well as other applicable cleanroom standards. State-of-the-art CAD and IT, prefabrication and customer-oriented production facilitate minimal lead times, fast delivery and hassle-free installation, contributing to good value for money.
Cleanrooms to be used as operating theatres are designed to have ceilings and walls that are easy to clean, and to ensure minimal CFU levels in indoor air. The airborne microbial level is important for successful surgery, since high levels may pose an increased risk of infection for patients.
Caverion’s cleanroom experts also work in collaboration with the company’s R&D Centre, situated in Aachen, Germany.
