Caverion has won a contract with the general contractor Veidekke to deliver building systems for two new environmentally friendly office buildings in Oslo, Norway. Caverion’s installations will include Heating & Sanitation, Cooling, and Sprinklers. The value of the contract is not disclosed.
The project will consist of two buildings with 13 floors and total area of 62,000 square metres. The new complex, known as VIA, will include office space, shopping facilities, restaurants, and cafes.
VIA will be a model project for efficient energy management and sustainable solutions in the choice of materials, technology and design, including solar panels on the roof.
The building is designed to ensure the lowest possible environmental impact and efficient land use for smart and optimal operation. Modern technology, in intelligent interaction with architecture, will utilise light and air to create a good indoor environment.
“In such a project it is important to have a good and close cooperation between all parties involved. We therefore look forward to working closely with Caverion to deliver a great project, to the benefit of Storebrand, Aspelin Ramm and the other users of the two buildings,” says Markus Stellander, Project Manager in Veidekke.
“We are proud that Veidekke, one of Scandinavia’s leading general contractors has chosen us for this project. Smart and complex buildings like VIA are a perfect match for Caverion. With a high focus on modern environmental technology we will deliver smart solutions. Through good project execution and great customer service we will ensure both a happy customer and a successful project,” says Knut Gaaserud, Executive Vice President & CEO of Caverion Norway.
