  • The client was building a new boiler house in Lund, Sweden, and chose Caverion to carry out the HVAC installation work.
  • The work had to be carried out in confined spaces, as the framework of the boiler house was almost completed.
  • Safety measures were extremely important because installation work took place high above on the catwalks where all risks of falling and dropping things had to be eliminated.

  • Caverion has a lot of experience regarding boiler house projects, so all the HVAC installation work was completed faultlessly despite the tight schedule.
  • The use of prefabricated products significantly expedited the installation work on site. For example, all the ducts for the supply air machines and exhaust air fans were prefabricated in Finland.

  • The work began at the end of 2012 and was completed by end of the summer 2013.

  • In total, ten people from Caverion worked on the site: supervisors, HVAC installers, plumbers, etc. Some of the work was outsourced.
  • The contract covered the supply air machines and exhaust air fans with their ducts, smoke extraction fans, heating pipes and heat exchanger, firefighting water pipes and emergency showers with their pipes.
