Sprinklers, thermography, escape routes, lighting, ladder maintenance and indoor climate also fall within the list of 15 technical areas that Caverion manages. All inquiries to Caverion from Elgiganten, whether they come from a store in Odense or in Holstebro, are made to Caverion's HelpDesk, where all orders are entered. Facility Manager Egon Jacobsen stands ready to receive calls from customers in Elgiganten's various departments.
"We've put lots of eggs in this basket because Caverion is the best company in Denmark for Elgiganten's needs. We have a point of contact in the customer HelpDesk, which ensures that technicians are sent out where needed. No-one else can match them in terms of quality and price in all 29 stores, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, all year round. And it doesn't matter where in the country our need arises - Caverion will be there," says Thomas Bredbjerg Nielsen, Project Manager, Elgiganten.
Solution of the future
Caverion's District Manager Lars Nielsen sees the agreement as a solution of the future, as Caverion covers the whole country.
"This is the way forward for big chains and the like, and I'm glad that having Elgiganten as a customer offers us the opportunity to showcase how, with our nationwide service, we are the company to solve challenges like this. We're very pleased with this contract because it utilises so many of our different specialisms, and because all of Caverion's 13 service centres around Denmark get to work together to carry it out. It's an exciting customer because we get to utilise both our basic and our specialist skills," Nielsen says.
Software provides overview
The Reeft software ensures control over orders, while Elgiganten has access to Caverion's system and can always monitor when Caverion's technicians are active in the various stores. And one particular feature not to be sniffed at is the ability for the chain to monitor how much money it is spending.
"We are relatively sure of our budgets looking ahead a year. We've got access to Caverion's system, so we can always keep an eye on things. It's a major plus that provides certainty," says Thomas Bredbjerg Nielsen from Elgiganten.
After 3 pm there is a rotation system in place so that Elgiganten can expect a technician to head out within 24 hours, no matter where in the country Caverion's services are needed.
Control of statutory inspections
Through its contract with Caverion, Elgiganten has taken control of its statutory inspections , such as fire alarm systems and sprinklers.
"Many customers fail to get their statutory inspections carried out and then have trouble when audited. We make sure that the inspections are carried out," Nielsen says.
