Completed in 1993 with a total area of 21,750 square metres, the Iso Paja office building in Pasila, Helsinki, was in need of a renovation. The building systems of the property's office facilities were outdated and needed an update to meet modern requirements. During the renovation, almost all interior surfaces were additionally updated. 


Caverion delivered all the building systems for the property: heating and sanitation, ventilation and air conditioning, cooling, electricity, information and communication services, security and safety, sprinkler-based and gaseous fire suppression, and automation.
The renovation project of Iso Paja was implemented using the alliance model where all the parties of the project commit to common goals. The renovation included improving energy efficiency by renewing building systems and deploying renewable energy, among other things. The facilities have been redesigned to be open and modern and to meet the needs of their users.
Caverion delivered a rooftop solar power system that covers a significant proportion of the electricity needs of the ventilation engine room.


Project development started in autumn 2016 and the renovation work was completed in 2018. During the project, the real estate company ordered an extended warranty of 2 + 3 years, including maintenance and control room services.
