Caverion wins contract for Wachau shopping centre expansion in Austria

Caverion Österreich GmbH has been contracted by the shopping centre developer Spar European Shopping Centers (SES) to help expand the shopping centre Wachau in Krems, Austria. Caverion Österreich will be responsible for the building services for heating, air conditioning, ventilation, sanitary facilities and sprinkler systems. The works start in August 2013 and are projected to last until September 2014. The value of the contract is over EUR 7 million.

The shopping centre has a total retail floor space of 15,000 m². Business will continue as usual during renovation. A total of 1.2 MW heating capacity, 1.5 MW cooling capacity and a ventilation capacity with a total volume flow of 220,000 m³/h will be installed. Heat recovery systems will be installed in order to increase energy efficiency.
