The consortium consisting of Strabag Real Estate, Hypo Noe, and Caverion Austria has been selected by the City of Vienna for the planning, construction, financing, and execution of the Nordwestbahnhof Education Campus in Vienna, Austria. The project will be carried out under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The new education campus, planned for up to 1,600 children, is scheduled to be commissioned in the 2028/29 school year. The campus will be developed on the former Nordwestbahnhof site as part of the City of Vienna’s New Educational Facilities Construction Programme (BIENE II). The new campus, with a gross floor area of 22,752 m2 will comprise a kindergarten, a primary and lower secondary school, a special education school, as well as a music school, sports halls, creative spaces, therapy rooms and kitchen areas.
Caverion Austria together with Strabag AG are responsible for the on-time construction of the project on behalf of the consortium. The solutions provided by Caverion include HVAC and automation systems. Upon commencement of use, Caverion Austria will assume responsibility for the facility management for a contractual term of 25 years and will be in charge of ongoing operations and technical building services.
