Caverion Germany is installing the technical systems for heating, cooling, plumbing and ventilation at the new Parent-and-Child-Centre at Lüneburg Municipal Hospital. The contract value amounts to around EUR 7.8 million.
The five-storey building with a gross floor area of 17,000 square metres will house the paediatric emergency department, a neonatal and paediatric intensive care unit, maternity ward and the women's clinic. A total of seven delivery rooms as well as an operating theatre for caesarean sections will be constructed.
"Caverion offers a strong workforce, technical expertise and experience in hospital projects," says Ralph Wirth, client representative of the hospital.
Caverion experts will handle the connection to the hearting district network. They will install more than 23 kilometres of piping and 273 sanitary objects. The ventilation systems will have a capacity of 38.000 m³/h.
"Caverion is a reliable partner for efficient and functional building technology in the healthcare sector. We are pleased to be able to realise this also at Lüneburg Municipal Hospital," says Manfred Simmet, CEO of Caverion Germany.
The work by Caverion is scheduled to continue until September 2028.
