Caverion has secured a contract with general contractor Betonmast Trøndelag AS to install heating, sanitation, ventilation, air conditioning, electricity, security, safety and automation systems for the new Technology Building at Sør-Trøndelag College (HiST) in Norway. The value of the project is approximately EUR 9 million and it covers design & engineering, project management and execution of all building systems in the property. The work on site is already underway and will be completed in December 2016.
The total surface area of the new Technology Building is about 16,000 m2. It includes offices, laboratories and teaching facilities. The building is being constructed as a passive house which means it has an energy consumption of only 25 per cent of a conventional building. Energy demand will be reduced for example with extra heat insulation, superior sealing techniques, good windows and heat recovery.
Harald Hasfjord, Project Manager at Caverion Norway, says there are many advantages in gathering all the technical disciplines and project phases under the same contractor.

The ClimaCeil solution developed by Caverion will be installed in the new building. ClimaCeil gathers all technical installations in one element, including ventilation, electrical and ICT cables, sprinklers and pipes.
